Viventi Mori

PROCESS
Viventi Mori is an experimental portable projection mapping project featuring a 3D-printed human skull, manually sculpted in ZBrush. The skull is mounted inside an entirely hand-crafted wooden box, featuring laser-engraving and steel bearings. The case houses 3 mini-projectors (two above and one below) and two internally-mounted speakers. The installation also includes a rear compartment to load an adapted content server such as a mini-PC. The result is a self-containted mini projection mapping installation.

The 2D animations were created in After Effects and feature hand-drawn illustrations by artist Sylvie Beraud, and 3D animations were created in Notch. Mapping done in Touch Designer.
